Methodology
- Postings: developer job postings live on October 12, 2026, duplicates removed. Each posting counts once, under its main stack.
- Salaries: only salaries published by employers in their postings. Estimates are excluded, and so are yearly amounts outside 10,000 to 1,000,000 euros.
- We report the median posted salary, never an average: half of the postings publish more, half publish less. The range runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile.
- Thresholds: a median appears from 8 postings with a salary, a country breakdown from 10 postings, and the transparency ranking from 30 postings per country.
- Currencies: a salary published in another currency is converted to euros at the exchange rate of the day it is recorded. US figures are converted back to US dollars at the snapshot-date rate (1 USD = 0.8924 EUR) and rounded to the nearest thousand.
- Remote: fully remote postings only. Hybrid postings do not count as remote.
- Limits: a posted salary is what an employer offers, not what people end up being paid, and employers who publish pay are not all employers. Read small samples (n) with care.
