## 1. O que é Git?

**Resposta**

Git é um sistema de controle de versão distribuído que rastreia mudanças no código-fonte ao longo do tempo. Cada desenvolvedor tem uma cópia completa do histórico do projeto em sua máquina local, diferente de sistemas centralizados como SVN. Isso permite trabalhar offline e oferece melhor resiliência pois não há um ponto único de falha.

## 2. Qual comando inicializa um novo repositório Git em uma pasta?

**Resposta**

O comando git init cria um novo repositório Git local no diretório atual criando uma subpasta oculta .git que contém todos os arquivos de metadados do repositório. Este comando é o primeiro passo para começar a rastrear mudanças com Git em um projeto existente ou novo.

## 3. Qual comando adiciona arquivos à staging area (índice) antes de comitá-los?

**Resposta**

O comando git add permite adicionar modificações de arquivos à staging area (zona de trânsito). Este passo intermediário entre a modificação e o commit permite selecionar precisamente quais mudanças incluir no próximo commit. Por exemplo, git add . adiciona todos os arquivos modificados, enquanto git add arquivo.txt adiciona apenas esse arquivo específico.
