## 1. Wat is een layered JAR in Spring Boot?

**Antwoord**

Een layered JAR organiseert de JAR-inhoud in afzonderlijke lagen (dependencies, spring-boot-loader, snapshot-dependencies, application) om Docker-builds te optimaliseren. Elke laag kan apart in de cache worden opgeslagen, wat rebuilds aanzienlijk versnelt omdat alleen gewijzigde lagen opnieuw worden gebouwd. Deze aanpak verkort de implementatietijden in productie met 80%.

## 2. Wat is de rol van Spring Boot Buildpacks?

**Antwoord**

Buildpacks creëren automatisch geoptimaliseerde Docker-images zonder dat een Dockerfile nodig is. Ze detecteren het applicatietype, installeren de juiste runtime, configureren JVM-optimalisaties en passen beveiligingsbest practices toe. Deze aanpak elimineert het handmatig onderhoud van Dockerfiles en garandeert images die voldoen aan de industriestandaarden.

## 3. Welke Dockerfile-instructie kopieert de JAR naar de image?

**Antwoord**

De COPY-instructie verplaatst bestanden van het hostsysteem naar de Docker-image. Voor Spring Boot gebruiken we doorgaans COPY target/*.jar app.jar om de gebouwde JAR te kopiëren. Deze instructie creëert een nieuwe laag in de image en ondersteunt jokertekens voor flexibiliteit in bestandsnamen.
