## 1. CDN이란 무엇이며 그 주요 이점은 무엇입니까?

**답변**

CDN(Content Delivery Network)은 정적 asset(이미지, CSS, JS)을 사용자와 지리적으로 가까운 서버에 분산합니다. 이는 latency를 줄이고(일반적으로 500ms에서 50ms로) 메인 서버의 부하를 분산합니다. CloudFront(AWS), Cloudflare, Fastly는 전체 웹 애플리케이션 성능을 향상시키는 데 사용되는 일반적인 예입니다.

## 2. load testing과 stress testing의 주요 차이점은 무엇입니까?

**답변**

load testing은 시스템이 SLA(응답 시간, throughput)를 충족하는지 확인하기 위해 정상 또는 예상 부하에서 성능을 평가합니다. stress testing은 시스템을 한계 이상으로 밀어붙여 한계점을 식별하고 극한 상황에서의 동작을 관찰합니다. stress testing은 또한 과부하 후 시스템이 어떻게 복구되는지도 보여줍니다.

## 3. load test 중 사용자가 체감하는 성능을 측정하는 데 가장 중요한 메트릭은 무엇입니까?

**답변**

95번째 또는 99번째 백분위수의 latency(P95/P99)는 스파이크를 가리는 평균 latency와 달리 가장 영향을 받는 사용자의 경험을 반영합니다. P99가 2초라는 것은 99%의 요청이 더 빠르지만 1%는 지연을 겪는다는 의미입니다. 높은 백분위수를 모니터링하면 상당수의 사용자에게 영향을 미치기 전에 성능 문제를 식별할 수 있습니다.
